BEDDING-IN PROCEDURE FOR SBS-DC Dual Carbon

    ATTENTION!
    These Dual Carbon Pads are developed/recommended for RACE use.

    DC = Dual Carbon -/- TF = Transfer Film 
     
    1.)  New Discs/DC Pads
    1. Achieve optimal pad/disc surface contact by a series of gentle brake applications.
    2. Repeat short brake applications, building up the heat, until the necessary TF is achieved on the the disc (colour: uniform, thin black/dark blue layer), typically after 2-3 laps.
    3. Thereafter, cool the brakes for 3-5 minutes.
    2.)  Discs in use with DC pads
    1. Never clean (grind) disc surface when replacing to new DC pads, otherwise the TF will disappear.
    2. Repeat procedure on para 1.1.
    3. Procedure of para 1.2 + 1.3 is not necessary.
    3.)  Discs in use with pads other than DC
    1. Clean disc surface from layer of previous pad material.
    2. Apply procedures of para 1.1-1.3.
    The TF procedure of para 1.2+1.3 is NEVER to be repeated on the same discs, provided the usage of SBS-DC pads continues.
     
    Replace the pads when the friction material is worn to 2mm (0.08") or less. For Dual Discs (Front wheel) replace all four pads. Keep pads free of Oil/Dirt or other contaminants. Conditions of OFF HIGHWAY USE are BEYOND manufacturer´s control. ALWAYS drive safely.
