MC brake pads are manufactured at SBS' factory in Svendborg. Investing in advanced process and robot technology combined with the introduction of productivity-promoting working methods ensures high productivity at SBS and powerful global competitiveness.LEAN thinking underlies all working processes at SBS and well-trained, committed employees ensure efficient production flow and uniformly high product quality. In addition, we operate quality management systems based on the ISO 9001:2000 standard to support all working processes.Patented NRS technology is an example of process optimisation in our brake pad production and of SBS' innovative thinking. NRS involves milling the rear plate of the brake pad to produce a pattern of sharp metal hooks that the lining material can be attached to. This attachment is extremely strong and avoids the use of adhesives in production.UCT (Unified Composite Technology) is also an innovative process that ensures a uniform structure in the lining material, and there is DEST (Dynamic Energy Surface Treatment) – a special process for degasifying brake pads – which ensures that "fade" can be avoided when the product is used.
